She had met him on board The Century, a cruise ship where she was performing, and he was a part of the ship’s crew. Her self-titled debut album had peaked at number 1 on the UK Albums Chart and had stayed number 1 for 3 weeks. It was later certified ‘Platinum’ by the British Phonographic Industry (BPI).
