A new collection has launched at Swedish furniture giant Ikea, with one item setting social media on fire.
The Ikea collection, known as VARMBLIXT, was created with Sabine Marcelis, who grew up in the Netherlands and New Zealand.
And one item that has already taken over social media is the doughnut LED table and wall lamp, with the large orange lamp.
With a price tag of $99, the sought-after item has already sold out.
A smaller, green version of the lamp, which is a pendant lamp, retails for $29.
“When the light passes through the orange glass, it makes the soft doughnut-like shape shine with a warm glow,” Marcelis said.
“It’s a magical sight that catches the eye – regardless of if it’s on a table or hanging on a wall.”
The collection was intended to drop next month, but in the last week several videos have emerged from customers spotting the doughnut lamp in Australian stores.
Social media users have shared snaps of the items they have found, and it has sent shoppers into a frenzy.
Mercelis works across product, installation and design, with the collection showing her brilliant understanding of colour and light.
The term VARMBLIXT means “warm lighting” in Swedish.
She said the collection was about showcasing what a material – or combination of materials – could be in order to get shopper’s attention.
Social media users have expressed their excitement over the new collaboration.
“Hoping the lamp comes back in stock when it officially launches,” one social media user commented.
Another added: “More proof I should move to Australia.”
“Got the last green one hehe,” one triumphant shopper revealed to the comments section of the post.

Many people in alternative locations, such as the United States, were desperate for the lamps to come to their local stores.
More items from the collection are set to drop in February, as originally intended.
